Glow in the Dark by Keira Kroft Blog Tour Interview/Giveaway :)

SYNOPSIS:
Determined to be out from under her mother’s ruling and away from a no-good soon-to-be ex-boyfriend, Corey Nolan exercises her independence. With a place to call her own and a job that doesn’t pay well but makes her happy, her life is full and her young daughter is content. There is no room for distractions, until she meets a local firefighter—who stirs an immediate forbidden attraction. In need of control, she tries to ignore Jake Gilroy, but circumstances bring her closer to him when someone is hell-bent on destroying her.

Dutiful playboy Jake is known as the smoking hot fireman. The first time he sets eyes on Corey, he knows he wants her. But when threats and strange occurrences start to happen, he finds the need to protect her and give more than he’s ever given any other woman.

Being together becomes more than they bargained for when their desire for each other becomes a matter of life and death….

INTERVIEW:
1. What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?
I write the end of the story first. If I don’t know how it ends, I don’t write it. Fortunately for me all my stories come to intact, complete, with title and characters.
2. How did you know you should become an author?
LOL, The above answer explains it. I was compelled.

3. How did you celebrate the sale of your first book?
First I freaked out, because I had pounded the pavement for three years. Then I waited quietly for hubby to wake up. Then I had enough of that crap, and called my BFF and we were so excited on the phone with each other that I woke my hubby up. So I told him, and we danced in the kitchen, I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

4. What are your current literary works? Any sneak peeks?
Yes :) and sure.

Inamorata is the first Novel in the “One Bloody Night Series”.

They are supposed to be low key and get their nightly fix from a bag. But what if they could spend a cozy evening eating an old fashioned meal and then when they were done they would simply set the place on fire and walk away—no one would be the wiser?

That’s the plan when a group of rogue Vampires has poisoned the entire security staff at a Christmas Eve party at a mall in Chicago and proceed to take over for the evening and feast upon their own kind of tradition, four house keepers, a maintenance man, a girl who lives in the mall, a lonely late night worker and a couple who have escaped to the department store where she works so their spouses wouldn’t be privy to their affair and some other delightfully unexpected guests.

Everything goes exactly as they expected until the group leader Lucius Sturdevant, and second oldest Vampire to date, realizes that the woman that lives in the Comic book store that is trying to figure out how to kill him is the reincarnation of Laura, the love of his life, that died in his arms of old age, because he didn’t have the heart to turn her.

5. What is your favorite scene in the book and why do you love it?
My favorite scene in my current book Glow in the Dark is when Corey’s hot fireman boyfriend has to deliver bad news to her about an ex. He does it with such sympathy and grace. I feel as the writer that you really feel the conflict of being sympathetic, all the while hoping that she doesn’t break apart over this guy. But at the same time, he would understand if she did.

Quickies:
1. Favorite place?
I should say home. However my home is where my family is anyway. But my absolute, most favorite place on this earth is Vegas, baby. It’s warmer than my home town of Chicago all year and it’s the city that never sleeps. It’s also packed with Chocolate, money and liqueur. I mean you can’t go wrong.

2. Favorite smell?
I do love the smell of fresh coffee brewing. But my favorite scent is actually fresh cut grass. And a close friend though he would jar that smell for me, by putting fresh cut grass in amazon jar. So sweet and thoughtful. Oh my God! There was never a worse smell, ever. I opened that jar and puked, lol.

3. Favorite series?
Game of Thrones, I also have to squeeze in Sons of Anarchy, Walking Dead, and Justified :)
4. Favorite movie?
The Godfather

5. Favorite quote?
“I’ll make him an offer he can’t refuse” of course, lol :) I do like that one, but my favorite is “Go to Heaven for the climate, Hell for the company.”
